Inboard boat engine overheating
WebJul 4, 2007 · The port motor runs like a sewing machine it could not be better. The other is just the opposite. It runs about 20 deg. hotter and will get up to 200 at 2000 rpm with a light vibration. The h/e has been cleaned out and new thermostats installed. new impella in the raw water pump.At low rpm 1200 it will stay at about 180. Sorry about the long post. WebDec 30, 2011 · Starboard engine overheated (gauge and alarm) in sea trails. Seller paid to replace thermostat, clean heat exchanger, replace circulating pump, and belt. Boat successfully ran 2 hours and was purchased and shipped to my 2nd home in Mexico.
