WebJul 29, 2024 · Strip the line into a bucket of warm water. Add a couple of drops of soft handsoap. Don't use detergent, detergent is a harsh cleanser and will strip the lubricants from your line. Let the line soak for 10 to 15 minutes to loosen the dirt and grime. Take a micro fibre cloth and run the line through it while winding back onto the reel. WebFeb 16, 2015 · The key to good flotation is keeping your lines clean so the hydrophobic surface can work. Cleaning with soap and water on a cloth removes most of the dirt, but our new cleaning pads work even better. Properly cleaned your lines will float better, cast better and last longer, certainly a good trade-off for a couple minutes of line maintenance.
